Adventure Packages for Schools
Here at Takutai Adventures we are passionate about getting youth into the outdoors and teaching them about the history of the Ohiwa Harbour and its ecosystems.
Our Instructor to Student ratio is legally 1:8 but we follow school regulation and make sure the ratio is 1 adult to 4 students in the water, whether that be qualified instructors or parent/teacher help. if the school requires lower ratios in the water then adult help must be provided or further instructors can be brought in at cost
What we have in our shed full of toys:
14 Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs)
2 Giant SUPs – Can hold up to 10 at a time
7 Fishing Rods – With Bait
6 E-Bikes (Adult Sizes only)
Available Dates:
We open for business from September until April!
This means that you can book a programme on any dates from the Start of Term 4 until the end of Term 1
Freedom Hire Package
- Hire All Equipment at a crazy good price.
- Half day (3hrs) or Full Day (6Hrs) options.
- This doesn’t cover any staff as safety or supervision so teachers and adults take this responsibility
- Prices for Freedom hire:
- ½ day freedom hire $500 +GST
- Full day freedom hire $750 +GST
- These prices do not include instructors.
Water Based Team Building Program
- Let us take the lead! 2 Staff members provided (adult help required if school ratios are lower than 1:8
- Team Building Activities and challenges designed for ultimate fun whilst learning ocean awareness and safety.
- This day is designed for groups of up to 30 students.
- ½ Day Option: $ 750 +GST
- Full Day Option: $ 995 +GST
Ultimate Adventure Day
- This is full day that will be lead by us where Groups rotate through 5 different activities:
- Stand Up Paddleboarding, Fishing, Beach Activities and Giant Board Activities.
- We provide 3 Staff Members for the day, these staff go with the Water Activities and Scooters. Extra adults are given guidance of how to lead the fishing and Beach Activities.
- This day is designed for larger groups (30+ students up to 100 maximum)
- Ultimate Adventure Day Option: $1200+GST
